Sury is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Chavali Consulting. Sury’s association with the aviation industry dates back to 1980 when he was involved with the migration of Cathay Pacific reservations system to the Unisys platform.As the Leader for Travel & Transportation in the Asia Pacific region, Sury had responsibility for maintaining and developing client relationships, client satisfaction, ongoing innovation and accountability for orders, revenue and gross margin. During this time he was instrumental for the successful implementation of Unisys industry solutions for key transportation clients in the region including Cathay Pacific, Travelsky, Air India, Asiana Airlines, Air Asia, Air China, Malaysian Airlines and major airports such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Delhi, Mumbai and Chengdu.
Bob
Robert (Bob) has been involved in an extensive range of travel industry business developments over a span of 35 years, both in Canada and in Asia. Bob help setup the region’s first major travel distribution system, Abacus.Based in Asia for over 20 years, Bob extended his industry understanding by chairing commercially important working groups in the Association of Asian Pacific Airlines as well as representing Cathay Pacific at IATA pricing conferences. He is particularly proud of his role in Cathay Pacific’s Electronic Ticketing product, also the first for Asia, as well as being part of the team that created Virgin Blue Airlines’ innovative first loyalty program Velocity.
